Rapid Door & Trim is seeking a Remote Project Estimator.

The Project Estimator reviews project documentation to create a budget for our customers.  Ensures the products being quoted match what is requested in the project documents.  Provides clearly written proposal to our customer at the date they requested. 

Daily responsibilities of the Estimator include:

• Review incoming ITB’s to determine validity and understand scope of work
• Review plan and specifications for product details to ensure proposed products meet architect and owner needs
• Perform take-offs
• Use software to build doors, frames and hardware
• Evaluate vendor quotes to obtain accurate pricing on products
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers as well as architects both verbally and in writing
• Prepare cost analysis and estimates ensuring timely completion
• Review and evaluate cost estimates

Required Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of DFH, Division 8, division 6 and division 10 is a plus
• Strong understanding of construction processes and project management.
• Possess physical and mental aptitudes and capabilities that will enable them to do the essential functions of the job.
• Possess ability to learn, problem-solve, independently assess situations, and respond appropriately and safely to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate, understand, give or follow written, verbal, or demonstrated instructions, write information, and request assistance. Ability to communicate well with all types of people – external and internal consumers of services.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
• Highly self-motivated
• Strong at building relationships
• Persistent, creative and detail oriented
• Good mathematical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
