Unison Cost Engineering is the leading developer of cost estimation software solutions. Our products and services are used worldwide to enable professionals within federal agencies and commercial companies to estimate project cost, effort, schedule and uncertainty. As a Solutions Consultant, you will work alongside our seasoned U.S.-based Customer Success team to assist both new and current customers from government agencies and Aerospace & Defense companies to implement and provide ongoing consulting services for Unison Cost Engineering software. In addition, you will assist Business Development in educating prospective customers about Unison Cost Engineering products and services in support of new business opportunities, to include being a technical resource during the sales process and completing customer demos and other briefings.
Responsibilities
Act as the main point of contact and Subject Matter Expert for your assigned client accounts, providing cost engineering best practices and other technical support, as needed, to increase clients’ understanding and use of the tool suite. Provide tool training, both remote and in person, for new customers and existing users. (NOTE: Training will be provided on UCE tools and capabilities prior to commencement of customer engagements.)
Expand the use of Unison Cost Engineering solutions throughout the client’s organization by investigating, uncovering, and sharing with the Business Development team new ways that Unison Cost Engineering can provide additional customer value.
Manage regular client communication and ongoing relationships as it relates to current, new and upcoming projects.
Analyze existing business processes within a client to encourage and support process improvement initiatives as prescribed by Unison Cost Engineering.
Be a technical resource for the Business Development team, providing demos and other briefings to potential customers and assisting with answering questions about product implementation and usage.
Advise product management on improvements in forthcoming product developments and identify key industry trends, test software releases and provide feedback on functionality and ease of use.
Be the voice of the customer for internal stakeholders, ensuring critical issues are appropriately addressed and there is a clear understanding of customer priorities and status.
Support the development and maintenance of Unison Cost Engineering training curriculum.
Develop and deliver thought leadership via blogs, webinars and conference presentations, promoting Unison Cost Engineering as an industry leader of cost engineering services and applications.
Maintain proficiency in all aspects of Unison Cost Engineering software and performs consultancy projects as required.
Qualifications
This is a fully remote position.
Working knowledge of cost engineering concepts and tools.
Skilled in the use of cost estimating software such as ACE-IT, TruePlanning, Crystal Ball or ProPricer.
Exceptional analytical skills.
Ability to quickly grasp technical requirements and engineering concepts and relate them to cost drivers.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write reports and other technical documents and to present materials to organizational leaders and executives.
Ability to travel to client sites as required. Travel requirement may be up to 25%.
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Finance or Engineering.
Three to five years of experience in an engineering discipline, cost estimating or cost management, preferably in the Aerospace and Defense industry or within a cost analysis organization.
US Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance. Current, active DoD clearance is a plus.
