Citi is currently recruiting for an executive with well-rounded knowledge and experience in Lean or Lean Six Sigma methodologies as well as cutting edge automation technologies, to play a leading role in driving true end-to-end process transformations across Citi.
Reporting to the Global Head of Productivity, you will lead a global team tasked with transforming many of Citi's most important processes and functions using Lean techniques and tools. You will partner with senior leaders across Citi to help put the customer at the center of our processes and to support those processes with emerging technologies such as Robotics, Machine Learning and AI.
Work with Global Head of Productivity to identify highest priority projects in each region, in line with Citi's strategy
Lead and continue to build out a global team of Lean and Smart Automation experts, in line with Citi's broader Productivity agenda
Work with Business Partners and Global Functions to understand Regional Priorities and partner with them to identify and structure strategic CitiLean and Smart Automation programs with a 12-18 month roadmap of projects, to drive full-scale process transformations and process management competencies and maturity, including:
Scoping and planning the projects (deliverables, timelines, resourcing, etc.).
Leading stakeholder engagement to ensure full buy-in of key participants
Leading the project teams in identifying waste and pain-points in the process using Lean tools (including basic Process Mapping, VSM, SIPOC's, Time and Motion studies, Benchmarking, etc.) and presenting findings to Senior Leadership.
Organizing and leading Kaizen workshops (on occasion), guiding the project teams on executing Root Cause Analyses and identifying Action Plans for the elimination of Root Causes to solve various Business and Process issues that achieve project/program objectives.
Developing "To-Be" processes, documenting identified policy and procedure gaps and a plan to implement the future state.
Partnering with Business and Finance to estimate calendarized benefits for inclusion into budget plans, and monitoring achievement of benefit targets
Delivering Lean training courses (on occasion)
Evolve and implement Citi's Robotics strategy and own Citi's Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Policy and associated controls
Partner with Businesses and Global Functions to identify opportunities to apply Robotics / Smart Automation and build a book of work in line with priorities and the objectives of each line of business. In addition to being able to work with and influence Senior Management, this will require thought leadership and constant market scanning to understand which new technologies are best suited to different use-cases and to translate those into business cases with a clear ROI (including running of proof of concepts and onboarding new vendors)
Develop and deliver program reporting and senior stakeholder presentations.
Coach junior teammates and project resources to deliver against agreed timelines and objectives.
Lead the development and articulation of program progress, successes and challenges through various presentations, training and forums.

Minimum of 10+ years of work experience with time spent applying Lean or similar methodologies. Experience in management consulting and/or developing automation solutions for Operations and Services (particularly with Robotics / Smart Automation) will be highly valued.
Previous experience in building and running a pipeline of transformation work at an organizational level would be ideal
Strong data analytics capabilities, especially cost analysis and internal/external benchmarking.
Ability to influence and work effectively with Senior Managers and with large teams across countries, functions and businesses.
Understanding of the drivers of value, including the ability to size and prioritize large scale initiatives across Businesses and Functions.
Strong communication skills and the ability to structure logical analysis in presentations.
An in-depth understanding of Excel and PowerPoint.
An understanding of Citi's businesses, the major strategic issues and the Senior Management landscape would be beneficial.
An undergraduate degree and an MBA (desirable but not required) from a top tier institution.
PMP or Prince Certification is also desirable but is not required.
