Herren Associates is looking for a Senior Ops Researcher / Cost Analyst to perform Analysis/Estimating in order to perform tasks including, but not limited to, the following:
Support the Government Cost Team in the preparation, documentation, and presentation of cost estimates for programs related to Ships, Weapons Systems, Aviation, Marine Corps, IT, and/or Cost Research & Tools Acquire and understand source data used for estimating specific cost elements of a WBS Develop cost estimating methods, prepare and maintain cost estimates, support additional data collection efforts, develop risk assessments, document estimates, and prepare and present briefings to Navy leadership Manage customer relationships and be responsible for engagement success Track contract Estimates to Complete and submit monthly reports
Basic Position Requirements:
Minimum 5-10 years of industry work experience in cost or economic analysis Experience working for or supporting DoD acquisition programs Experience with DoD acquisition cost estimating structure Experience with theories, principles, and practices of cost analysis and ability to evaluate techniques used in generating program cost estimates Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project applications Experience using Crystal Ball, ACEIT, @Risk, Stata, and/or SAS Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Math, Engineering, or other technical field from a four-year college or university Must have a SECRET security clearance Additional Requirements:
Experience with management consulting services and in leading teams to plan and develop Independent Cost Estimates (ICEs) Strong coordination skills and ability to excel in a cross functional team environment Excellent communication skills with both technical and nontechnical audiences; comfortable speaking to large groups of people Familiarity with the development of a Cost Analysis Requirements Description (CARD) Ability to develop Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), Cost Estimating Relationships (CER), and Program Life Cycle Cost Estimates (PLCCE) Strong planning, organizing, prioritizing, and analytical skills
