The Construction Cost Estimator – Healthcare, manages cost gathering, scheduling and project/program data on all completed construction projects at UHS. For the Acute and Behavioral Divisions, compiles information gathered to prepare models used for future construction projects. For new projects, prepares cost estimates and serves as a liaison among senior leadership.
Essential Job Duties: Manages, collects and compiles all Cost, Scheduling and Program data for all completed UHS construction projects, both BH and Acute, in a systematic and organized fashion. Utilizes the collected data on completed projects to enhance and continually improve UHS cost and program modeling tools.
Serves as estimator for all projects at conceptual stage (called pre-validation in UHS terminology). Act as the lead person to pull together cost, program FF&E & IT costs (working with those internal UHS group), MEP system upgrades etc. Review with VP, Director of Acute/BH/RPM’s/RFM’s prior to presenting to local RVP’s/C-Suite.
Uses technology to efficiently communicate and share information in an organized and timely fashion.
Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years estimating experience required; Master's Degree preferred.
Strong leadership skills; specific experience working for a healthcare construction manager in the estimating department or for a healthcare estimating consultancy firm would be preferred.
